ODReurope at the 2017 ODR Conference in Paris

ODReurope is proudly participating at the Equal Access to Information & Justice  Online Dispute Resolution ODR-2017 Conference which will be is held in Paris on the 12-13 of June  and is orgnized by the International Mediation Institute (IMI), the International Chamber of Commerce ( ICC)  and the National Center of Technology & Dispute Resolution (ODR.info).

The ODR conference will be attended by many judges, ADR professionals, ICT companies, representatives of governments and will have as guest speakers mpre than 60 leading experts from the ODR global community.

ODReurope will be represented by Petros Zourdoumis  who will be a panelist at the first panel of the conference covering the sensitive area of promoting the use of ICTs in the face of injustice, violence, discrimination & denial of human rights.

The panel will be chaired by his Excellency François Zimeray France’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark & former Ambassador for Human Rights.

Also in the same Panel will be Petra Butler (Professor at the Victoria University of Wellington School of Law and Co-Director of the Centre for Small States at Queen Mary, University of London) New Zealand and Alberto Elisavetsky, (Founder and Director of ODR Latinoamerica, NCTDR Fellow) Argentina. ODReurope and ODR Latinoamerica have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation for jointly promoting online dispute resolution.

Due to the fact that persons around the globe have increasing access to ICT through phones and mobile devices, the panel will explore how this can be translated into opportunities to reduce injustice as well as prevent and resolve conflicts.
